Imagine / Free your Mind
Every year a working group of librarians produce and update certain publications called “Free your Mind” aimed at S5/6 pupils and “Imagine” aimed at S1/2 pupils. Very attractive printed leaflets are produced for every pupil in these year groups and are usually distributed through English classes or the School Library.
A full list of what the ‘reading experts’ recommend for certain ages (either for examination purposes or purely for leisure reading at the ‘ideal’ level) is available at www.mlslibraries.net/?9360

On the Campus - Bruntsfield House..........
Records as early as 1381 reveal that the mansion and lands of Bruntsfield then belonged to a Richard Browne. In May, 1544 the original house was destroyed in the ravages of 'The Rough Wooing' - the English attempt to force a marriage between Mary, Queen of Scots and Prince Edward of England. The house was rebuilt in the latter half of the sixteenth century by the Lauders of Haltoun.
